Wind Energy Compromise Bill Passes House

Boise — The Idaho House today passed a tax credit bill that’s generating friction between the wind energy developers who want it and utilities that complain they’re being forced to buy more power than they need.

Wind Turbine Moratorium Bill

A bill introduced in the Idaho House of Representatives and later passed and sent to the Senate would ban the approval of new wind turbines over two years.  This bill according to its purpose would give state lawmakers and other interested groups like Idaho Power time to address the long term affects those structures would have on Idaho.
