Last Minute Deal Halts a Government Shutdown

Idaho House Continues While Senate “Sine Die”

The Idaho house and senate were busy this morning taking up a number of important revenue bills. While the house is still in the process of hearing debate on education funding. The senate announced they have completed their business for the session and will “sine die” early Thursday afternoon. Senate majority leader Bart Davis told the body they will not hear the charter school bill this session and they ultimately killed the energy compromise bill prior to ending the sessions regular business. Closed Primary Bill Passes House
The Idaho House approved a closed primary election bill Wednesday on a 51-16 vote. The full text of that bill can be read below.
Wolf Bill Gets Do Pass Recommendation
The senate gives their “do pass” recommendation to the wolf emergency bill. It now heads to the full senate before the bill is sent to the governors desk for signing. (7-2)
